How much Def fluid is left in 2012 Duramax?
So I have a 2012 Duramax. The DEF fluid got low. It read 200 miles remaining. So I put more DEF fluid in. It held 1.5 gallons. Which is not enough to fill the tank on that. Still reads 200 miles remaining.

I pull in to a parking lot next to dealer, shut truck off and unhook trailer. Start truck and get svc def and speed limited message.

Click to expand… You’re saying it filled up with 1.5 gallons? You don’t actually have to reset the tank, or you shouldn’t, it operates like your fuel tank. If its warning you it’s low but filling up with 1.5gal, something’s wrong. I usually fill up with 5 gallons at the 999 mile warning.
