How to get constant 12 volt power from trailer wiring?

Since a few have asked exactly what we are trying to accomplish…We are in development of a Plug-N-Play wire harness that T’s off the factory 7 PIN to run the 3rd Brake light for Truck Cap installations. We are also pulling power out of the 7 PIN to power the Dome Light, or other aux lighting, Bed Lighting, etc.

Why is my 7 way trailer not connected?

If yours are empty like mine were, go get two relays and plug them in. Then get a 30A Maxi Fuse and plug it into position 16 in the under hood fuse box. 16=Trailer Tow Battery Charge. This should give you power to your orange wire (switched 12v) on your 7 pin trailer harness.
