Is Dexron IV compatible with Dexron II?
ATF IV and Dexron II are different enough I’d suggest against using it, however all Dexron fluids are backwards compatible, so you could use Dexron III or Dexron VI. If you can get Dexron III you can mix it with the exiting Dexron II in your power steering reservoir without issue.
Are all Dexron fluids compatible?

Dexron VI is a lot more stable at higher temperatures and lasts longer. It can also be used to top off dexron 3, however, you can’t use dexron 3 if you already have dexron 6 originally in your trans, or if it has been flushed with dexron 6.
Can you mix dexron III and dexron VI?

Dexron LV ATF HP is composed of a Poly-alpha-olefin (PAO) Group IV Base oil and additives developed by Afton Chemical needed for the proper operation of the 2015 and above GM 8L90 8-Speed rear wheel drive automatic transmission. The current GM specification that defines the fluid is GMW16974 (2nd Edition, May 2017).
