Is the cargo light on my Chevy k1500 working?
Both the dome LED and cargo LED has worked since I installed them in February. I have exposed the wiring for the light switch in the dash and do not see any signs of burnt wires or anything. Do you think the dome light housing could be going bad and causing the issue?
Is the brake light on the cargo light still working?

You can get creative and check the power to a spot on the frame and then switch to the audio continuity test and see if the ground is good. if you dont have power look for a fuse, if you have power and ground you have a problem with the bulb or bulb harness.
Are there brake lights on a GMC Sierra 1500?
1990 GMC Sierra 1500 4×4 No brake lights when headlight switch is activated. Also I have no reverse lights or tail lights. I’ve checked the wire harness at the tail end of the truck and I’ve got 12 v when headlights are off but when I turn them on it goes to 0.

Why are the tail lights on my GMC Sierra 1500 not working?
If you pull the headlight switch out and visually inspect the plug itself you will probably find that the withe wire and the brown wire are discolored. (Due to its intermittent connection they heats up) The female connector on both of those wires have lost one side of the clip that slides on to the headlight switch.

It is a Silverado 1500 Extended Cab that is a 4×4 with the Z-71 Off Road Package. The truck is White with Blue cloth interior and it has the LS trim package. This truck has an amazingly low 29K original miles. It still even has the original plastic over the carpet that has never been removed.

Naa, mostlikly switch or multiple switches, turn it on and see if you have power up at the dome with a tester at the wire terminals no power most likely not switched on. I made sure the switches are all on. When the Led bulb is in it is really dim. From the time I installed the Led it worked fine until last week. Maybe I just need a big hammer…
