Service department runs test and installs a Reservoir Kit ($212.65) in the def tank and tests and clears all codes. Part&Labor= $451.36. Im happy, I pay and Im on my way thinking simple fix, not 10 miles down the road the Service Exhaust fluid system messages is back on.

Once it got to about 75 miles it reset itself (may have been from starting it multiple times) and hasnt been back since. Service dept said its most likely from the temperature since it was about 108 that day, but they “werent sure without rooting around in the system”.

Can a service exhaust system go into limp mode?
Yes, but limp mode is 4mph and it seems to be related to key cycles. I not condoning it, but a lot of guys eliminate this DEF system with aftermarket exhausts and programmers. It shouldn’t go into limp mode.
