I had oil leaking down the back side of the engine, dripping out just in front of the bell housing. It turned out to be a leaky oil pressure sensor. It is located behind the intake manifold. These things fail quite often. Mine stopped reporting pressure properly some time before it started leaking. Just a thought for something else to check.

Why is the intake gasket leaking on my truck?

The intake gasket was leaking to the outside when the truck was cold thus messing with its idle in cold say sub 45 degree weather. as soon as the motor warmed up and everything expanded it would seal and no leak=good driving. since we paid to have it replaced, no problems with it since. 3 seperate occasions i start it up, drive it an hour to work.
