Which is too high for normal oil bypass?

Which is too high for normal oil bypass?

The area of the opening is about 0.77 in^2 so this translates into about 181-259 psi of oil pressure. That amount of pressure seems to be way too high for normal oil bypass.

Is it bad to have a 10 point jump in blood pressure?

I would summarize the available data like this: Maybe… but not much. Some studies suggest that every 10-point jump in blood pressure due to psychological stress carries an increased risk of future problems, but most data suggest that this risk is small, and trivial compared with your baseline blood pressure.

What should oil pressure be in Bentley AWM?

That amount of pressure seems to be way too high for normal oil bypass. However there seems to be some evidence that the AWM engines according to the Bentley Manual have a bypass valve spec at 12 Bar (174 psi). LINK That’s not too far off from my own pump calculation within the margin of error of my simply test.

What kind of oil pump does a 1.8T engine use?

The AMB engine and most late model 1.8t engines use a Gerator style oil pump. Basically the pump has a 6 tooth gear which rotates eccentrically inside of a 7 tooth internal gear ring. (fig-11) For every 30° of pump shaft rotation a cavity is formed between the two gears and the sidewalls of the pump housing.

Why does oil pressure increase as RPM increases?

Since the valve is spring loaded the amount of flow which is returned to the oil pan also increases as the rpm’s increase. The flow indicated by the striped red pattern on the upper right is just wasted pump capacity and wasted energy. Why is the system designed for over capacity?
