74 people found this helpful. Just get someone to shift it while you watch the cable on the drivers side of the tranny. You should see the cable rotate the shifter. If it ran good, you parked it, it got f’in cold and now it doesn’t work maybe you have some water in the system, a line may be frozen (never heard of this though).

Some cables have to be replaced as a whole and as with others the bushing can be replaced to fix the cable.
