Why does my Chevy Uplander lock and unlock?
Maybe a longshot, but my wifes Chevy Uplander van was doing a couple of those things…..doors were locking and unlocking, sliding door alarm would come on etc….Turns out, the key fob remote was screwing up. Try taking the battery out of it for a while

If there is any looseness in the clamp itself that could be the problem. Also look for corrosion in the clamp.
