When the rear ac is turned on only, the air isn’t that cold. But when the front ac is turned on, the rear ac is blowing colder air out the vents. That’s because the rear AC by itself can’t turn the compressor on… The front AC has to be on for the compressor to turn on….

I pulled the small flat motor off and noticed the shaft was jammed and would not turn when i moved the temperature selector knob from hot to cold. Cabin air filter is fine. The front AC does not seem as cold as the rear AC. Outside temp is a moderate 85F, with 30% humidity. Do you notice this disparity most at idle with the A/C on?

Hmm, not real familiar with A/C systems, but you sure there’s no leak and/or your evaporator (radiator) is holding the pressure? also, are you sure you filled it correctly? I’d suggest doing a search online on the A/C systems and hopefully there is a good forum, or other article that could help narrow down the issue more.
