Can a supercharger be removed from a Mercedes SLK 230?
After watching a YouTube clip of a British mechanic remove the supercharger in a matter of minutes (TV magic?), we decided to attempt a minimalist approach. The upshot: It is possible to jockey an M62 supercharger out of an SLK230 Kompressor (engine 111.973) with the motor mounts and fan/shroud still intact.

Is the S / C clutch on the SLK 230?
Since you have a pre 2001 model SLK, your S/C has a clutch on it. Post 2000 do not have a clutch on the S/C. Not sure if the P0806 is directly related to S/C clutch, but could be. Others will chime in. FYI- I had the same vague “something wrong with the supercharger” and oxygen sensor failure at about 48k miles.

No communication to any modules with actron scan tool or snap-on solus pro scan tool. all lights in cluster come on, windows work, radio works. Battery Voltage 12.9 good connections.

Is there a problem with the Mercedes supercharger?
They also said that fixing the O2 sensor would probably turn off the CEL for now and that the Supercharger likely does not need to be replaced immediately, but that it will at some point, at the latest before I have my next state emissions inspection in about 11 months.
