How does a GMC Savana fuel pump work?

How does a GMC Savana fuel pump work?

This system contains a crankshaft position sensor (CKP), camshaft position sensor (CAS) which is a low voltage generating system (1.5 to 3.0 volts) and is then amplified to 12 volts by using a ignition module (amplifier) and then transferred to the primary side of the ignition coil.

What does the ECM play in giving the fuel pump power to turn on?

What role does the ecm play in giving the fuel pump power to turn on? hear the fuel pump activate. jog the start position, should run 3 or4 seconds,or get under the hood turn key on and pull the relay jog it on off should feel it click and maby youll hear the pump,

What is the fuse box on a GMC Savana?

Heated O2 Sensors, Mass Air Flow Sensor, EGR Valve Solenoid, Evap Canister Purge Valve, Crankshaft Position Sensor, Secondary Air Injection Relay (Diesel), Water in Fuel Sensor (Diesel), Fuel Heater (Diesel), Glowplug Relay (Diesel), Wastegate Solenoid (Diesel)

What kind of engine does a 1999 GMC Savana have?

1999 GMC 2500 SAVANA 5.7 vortec- wont start. replaced plugs, rotor, cap, cam position sensor. turns over, and has spark, and fuel at rail.

Is there an ECM signal to the fuel pump relay?

The fuel pump relay works as it should. I always have power to Pin 30. I believe the ECM tells the relay to work via the green/black wire to Pin 85. This should happen for 2 seconds when the key is turned on. I have tested this when the issue is occurring and have confirmed that no signal is being sent from the ECM.

How does the Ignition Control Module ( ICM ) work?

If everything is working properly, the engine will start. Now, the important thing to know is that the PCM controls the creation of spark from the get-go (crank up) and at all engine speeds thru’ the ignition control module (ICM).
