How to change odometer settings to read miles not km?

Should start by displaying Odometer, then one short press of button shows trip, one more short press will say OIL LIFE, then one more will say METRIC. Now hold down the stick until it says ENGLISH. Is it illegal to change odometer after cluster swap?
Note if your changing clusters (new or old)you need to correct mileage that is legal but has to be disclosed by a mileage statement…….. As has been mentioned, it’s not illegal if you are correcting the mileage after a cluster swap. I’d rather not mess with the DMV on this..who would raise their odometer reading almost 180k to decieve someone??

How does Carfax keep track of odometer reading?
Carfax WILL keep track of odometer in Kms as long as it is reported as such, so the main problem is to make sure that EVERY single time someone is reporting the odometer reading he makes sure to either do it in Kms or divide by 1.61.
