The first code I got was a B0101 (Discard Electronic Front End Sensor 1) so I replaced the driver side with a new sensor from Napa. That did not clear the air bag light but did change the code. Now I get a B0100 code (Electronic Front End Sensor 1 Performance). Any thoughts on how to get this fixed? Two questions.

The B0101 code is for the left (drivers side) impact sensor. This sensor is mounted under the radiator support.

What does DTC b0101 and b0104 do?
DTC B0101 and B0104 will set when the SDM has received 4 consecutive NOK (Not OK) messages from the front end sensor. The SDM commands the AIR BAG indicator ON via class 2 serial data. The SDM attempts to reset the front end sensor. The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists. You issue a scan tool CLEAR DTCs command.
