What is Suprasorb used for?
Suprasorb X+PHMB is a topical antimicrobial wound dressingfor use on lightly to moderately exuding infected or critically colonised wounds (Kingsley et al, 2009). It may also be used where wounds have been identified through a systematic assessmentto be at greater risk of infection (Dissemond et al, 2011).

Suprasorb® G Gel Wound Dressing is a non-adhesive, high water content hydrogel dressing. Suprasorb® G Gel Wound Dressing may be used as a wound contact layer, providing cooling and soothing as well as exudate absorption and retention.
How to apply Suprasorb?
Clean the wound in accordance with local guidelines, ensuring the wound edges are dry. Place dressing directly over the wound with a 2cm overlap or, if using the rope dressing gently place into cavities and sinus wounds, or other deep or superficial wounds. Hold in place with an appropriate secondary dressing.
How does Suprasorb a work?
The high exudate absorption capacity of Suprasorb A promotes wound healing. The absorption of wound exudate causes the exchange of sodium ions with calcium ions, forming a gel. Bacteria and debris are trapped in the gel, creating a moist wound environment.
Is Manuka honey same as MEDIHONEY?

When should I stop using Aquacel?
Do not use Aquacel on dry wounds. Dressing change. Every 5 to 7 days, unless strikethrough of exudate occurs earlier. Requires a secondary dressing – a semi-permeable film dressing or a hydrocolloid dressing may be appropriate.
How do you dress a wound with Aquacel?
Ensure the skin around the wound edge is clean and dry. Apply AQUACEL® Ag+ dressing directly to the wound. Ensure the dressing overlaps the wound edges by at least 1cm, cut if needed. Cleanse your wound with clean water or specific wound cleansing product if advised by your healthcare professional.
