A Tiptronic transmission is basically a regular automatic transmission where the driver is able to move out of “automatic mode” and use paddle shifters to shift up or down like a manual transmission.
How do you shift in Tiptronic?
Once in Tiptronic mode, there are two ways to shift:
- Shift Using the Shift Lever: To shift into a higher gear, push the shifter forward. To shift into a lower gear, pull it backward.
- Shift Using the Paddle Shifters: Vehicles with paddle shifter make shifting in Tiptronic mode even easier.
Is S tronic reliable?
