An offbrand reman alternator lasted two weeks before the battery light returned and it was putting out 11.9V. I then got the original OEM alternator rebuilt and so far so good.

According to the manual, the battery light coming on only indicates that the battery is not being recharged so this would indicate a battery or alternator problem. Is it at all possible that the starter wiring or the starter relay could be causing a battery light to come on?
