We have a 2002 International 4300 with the automatic trans w/ park. We have been having some really bad transmission problems with it. The truck will run fine for 2 days then all of the sudden the “check trans” light will come on and the truck will not shift out of low gear.

When the hood is close, it pull the harness out of the firewall giving it a bad connection at the connector.Had this problem on 3 late model 4300″s. I had this same problem and called the Allison shop and the guy said to wiggle the wiring harness connector on the tranny and firmly push it in.
