Why are Jeep doors so hard to close?
The relatively lightweight doors are removable for open-air driving, and lighter weight doors require more effort to close. The door opening has no weather seal so you have a clean opening for entry and exit from your Wrangler.
Why is the liftgate on my Jeep not closing?
Stop it from lowering so you can keep it open and at least use it at that less than fully open position and it will switch off and go into manual only mode. It won’t shut by any of the electrical options and you will have to manually shut it then also. All fixed from the dealer…contact issue.
Why is the tailgate not latching on my Jeep?
Went to close it and nothing…tried it from the overhead button, rear button and key fob. Nothing. So I “closed” it manually and it will not latch/secure the tailgate. Tried to put it in reverse, then drive, then park and open/close…and it just stays open! :slapfight: Thoughts?
Is there a way to close the lift gate?
That will at least close it so the interior lights do not stay on and the dash display telling you it is open. Yeah, the gate can also be operated manually and when closing manually it won’t electrically suck itself shut the rest of the way.
