Why does my 4 wheeler idle and die?
When I first got it, it ran but it would rev up real high than settle down, then rev up real high. I rebuilt the carburetor, but now it’ll start and idle for a minute, but as soon as I touch the throttle it dies immediately.

What to do if your bike Idles when trying to accelerate?
Clean the carb,run some sea foam through it,if that doesn’t work,try your timing.if all else fails it could be a sticky valve and or a bent valve ( I ran a bike on a bent valve for 2 months before it blew) How do you check the valves. I’m not a mechanic but I can do the small stuff. Lol I have a 89 warrior. I put it in the shed during deer season.

The warrior idles fine. I’ve adjusted to air mix screw back and forth. It changes the idol but doesn’t seem to improve things when I try to rev it up. 2.25 turns seems to be the sweet spot, as far as idol. The needle is where zoom put it.

What happens when an Outlander 400 gets hot?
I have no ideas since it will start and run fine when cold and not run at all once it gets hot. Any ideas would be appreciated. ’06 Outlander 400, starts fine and runs fine. After running through sand at low RPM for about 15 -20 minutes it dies, sounds like it is running out of gas.

Is the Honda 450 Foreman backfiring at idle?
It idles fine now, and doesnt appear to be putting any new oil in the box while idling. When you ease into the throttle it starts getting choppy then backfiring and will die if you dont let off. If you do let off, it idles just fine.

It’s a Honda Foreman 400 4×4 model TRX400FWV. I’ve taken the carb apart and cleaned it, it was in remarkably good condition – no build up. I went ahead and took out the jets, etc, carb cleaned the passages, etc. Put it back together. Problem existed before and after the carb cleaning. I’ve adjusted the idle speed mixture screw. Here is one thing.

Thanks guys! I have a 2001 Honda Foreman ES that started doing the same thing today (no oil in air chamber). Idles fine, sputters and dies if you give it gas. Gas is flowing fine to carb. What did you do to fix?
Why does my Honda Foreman die after 10 minutes?
See title: runs fine for about 10 minutes then starts cutting out, backfires, and dies. Let it sit a few minutes and it starts again…repeat. I think I’m narrowing it down to fuel delivery and/or exhaust leak.
