Why does my GMC Sierra cruise control go intermittent?
When my cruise control went intermittent I suspected the brake light switch and the web confirmed the brake light switch as the culprit. I couldn’t figure out the clip removal since it’s hard to see. hi there. i am from saudi arabia my GMC Sierra 2009 1500 sle has got the same problem as yours justin, and still not yet investigated.

It was covered under warranty. My 2008 K1500 Suburban lost cruise control about 6 months ago. Thought it would be a dealer issue. Have not been to this site in a while but came here and found a lot of folks have this problem. Common issue is the “stop lamp switch” on the brake pedal. Part number 15861245. $23 from the dealer.
