Why does Regen light flash when truck is parked?

Why does Regen light flash when truck is parked?

It means that the exhaust is at high temperature due to extra regen speed which occurs when the truck is traveling at low rates or is parked. If this lamp flashes it means that parked regen is in progress and that system temperature is not up to par yet.

When do you need to Regen a Freightliner?

DPF lamp is the diesel particulate filter light and if it is stable then parked regeneration is required soon. The DPF status light is very important to determine when DPF regeneration is needed for a Freightliner. Now, in general, DPF warning lights might be solid or flashing. These two states indicate two different types of warnings:

What does it mean when a truck won’t do a Regen?

*The MIL came on, which didn’t seem like a major concern, I’d have it looked at when I got home. *The Check Engine light came on, uh oh. From what I remember, this means I need to perform a parked regen. The truck refused to do a manual regen. *The Stop Engine light (red light) has come on and the truck absolutely refuses to regen.

When do I need to take my regens out?

The DOC is a separate section bolted together with the DPF. The exhaust flows through the DOC first. If the DOC is partially plugged or damaged you will have improper regens as the temps and exhaust flow through it will be below desired. They should be taking them out and getting a look at them to see if there is anything wrong.

Do you have to do a parked Regen on a check engine light?

*The Check Engine Light does not mean that you need to automatically do a parked regen. If you can’t get the exhaust temps hot enough, the truck will not regen under any circumstances.
