Can You update the software on a Toyota Land Cruiser?
Ebay is looking better and better to obtain software CDs for my beloved Land Cruiser! What model of Navigation system is in there. I don’t have the Toyota system however in my experience updates tend to be the map only, they don’t change the underlying software so a new cd can just be used without needing to go through all the previous stages.
How to update the navigation software on a Toyota?
Curious too on how to update the old software like that. If no one chimes in, try a dealer. Posed the same question to Toyota.com via their customer service forum. After waiting 48 hrs for a reply they suggested that I check with a local Toyota dealership for help/service…

Steve. Can’t agree more, plus at least for the TNS500 it’s a bit old hat and the signal strength from the Antenna is not all that.
Where can I get part for Toyota navigation system?
Shop around at another Toyota dealer for 00125-DVD05-CY. The part number on the DVD map disc is 86271-33034. Lastly, no other software will work with the Toyota navigation system. One solution… check with salvage yards in your area. An inexpensive part may be available from a wrecked vehicle.
What’s the part number for a 2005 Land Cruiser?
The part number should be 86111-60180-OW. Again, the program will not be available until November or December. The 2005.1 is the most recent disk according to my dealer (We currently have a 2004.2 in our 2005 Land Cruiser). Does anyone know whent the next version is due to be released?
