You should underfill when changing oil to allow for DPF regen fuel getting into the sump. Check you have the correct spec oil as the wrong oil just might trigger an oil change message. You can drain a bit of the oil if you have a carter pump. There is a tube connected to your oil pan which you can use.

The oil level option in the computer is greyed out. When I select it nothing happens. As its greyed out I assume that my car does not have the in car level gauge option fitted but for the life of me I can’t find a dipstick in the engine bay. Any suggestions? I’m sorry if this is a stupid question.
