When the engine temperature reaches 200 degree’s the PCM energizes 1 to 3 Cooling fan relay’s in the battery junction box (fuse-relays ) The low speed fan relay , High speed fan control relay 1 , an high speed fan control relay 2 . Now what problem are you having ?

Why are the cooling fans running on my Silverado Sierra?
When this happens my temp gauge will read zero and when I kill the engine the fans stay on. The only way to shut them off is to crank the engine and shut it right back off. I have been through two temp sensors and still have the problem. It does not do it all the time but when it does it will stop and not do it for a while.

How often does the engine cooling fan come on?
When I run the a/c the fan comes on at high speed every ten seconds or so. I talked to a few mechanics and they said it was normal, I don’t buy this since it only started doing this recently. I called my local GM dealer and spoke to someone in service and he had no idea what I was talking about.
