To hide distant ADS-B traffic, select More > Settings and turn the Hide Distant Traffic (ADSB) switch on. You can also toggle Hide Distant Traffic on or off from the Maps page using the Map Settings. When Hide Distant Traffic is enabled, a label is depicted in the bottom-right corner of the map.

To prevent the confusion and potentially dangerous situation of a screen full of airplanes, tap the gear button on the maps page to bring up the drop down menu. Turn on the “Hide distant traffic” feature and the app will only show the airplanes within +/- 3500 feet vertically and 15 NM.
