Why does my Duramax run cool all the time?
Running cool all the time, can put your MPG in the dumpster and affect performance. But also, the T-stats hold back the coolant flow, allowing the coolant in the radiator to release the stored heat. When they open, you get a rush of fresh cool fluid to absorb the block heat and start the process over again.
What should the engine temp be on a 2004 Chevy Duramax?
My 2004.5 with 120k mi.fan clutch cycles very frequently also. Pulling a 8100 lb 5th wheel up a hill in the summer heat with a/c on. Temp gets to apx 235. Dash comes on and reads High coolant temp. It did it in 2019. I then replaced the fan clutch, waterpump and all coolant hoses.

First, and most important problem: The heat in my truck is virtually non-existent. After about 10 minutes, it will blow warm air (not hot), but only if it’s above 40-45 degrees. Anything under that (40 and below), it blows kind of lukewarm air, barely warmer than the inside temperature of the truck.
Why does my GMC Sierra not blow hot air?
Air won’t blow out of the dash vents but the other modes work fine. Also occasionally blows hot air in A/C mode. Turning off the ignition and restarting corrects the heat issue. Driver’s side heater/a-c works okay… passenger side only blows hot air, regardless of heat setting.

’06 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Duramax: Vents won’t switch properly at all. Sometimes if I switch them, pull over and shut my truck off and turn it back on then it will sometimes switch to that vent. But only works on defrost and bi-level vents. Floor or any mixed doesn’t work and will switch to one or the other that works.
Why did my 2004 Duramax engine not start?
My 2004 Duramax started and then died like it was out of fuel. Now it won’t start. I have about 1/4 tank of fuel, tried priming it until the batteries died.
