Why does my GM Truck make a noise when I accelerate?

Crawl underneath and try to turn the driveshaft. It should turn all the way around with minimal effort. If it will not, again, most likely bad U-joint. Rear end noise travels to the front. I changed my wheel bearings because I thought they were the problem.

Why does my Chevy Tahoe Rumble at 70 mph?

It is more just a low rumble that just makes the car seem “loud”. If I accelerate through this range, it slowly fades in around 70, and fades out as I get over 74 or so. I read around online and many people mentioned this problem was caused by the torsion bar sitting against the rubber stop towards the front of the car.

Why does my Silverado Sierra jerk at high speeds?

If you hammer it down, the truck smooths out. It appears to only happen durring light acceleration and at higher speeds. The best I can do to explain the jerking is that it feels as if is missing or being starved for fuel and about to run out. There are no check engine lights on in the truck.

What causes a bad acceleration on a Silverado Sierra?

That means, the bad converter is a symptom of some other problem, such as a misfire condition that has allowed raw fuel to enter the exhaust and overheat the converter, causing it to fail. I would suggest further diagnosis before replacing the converter, or you could burn up the new converter.

Next time it goes off, see (actaully “hear”) where it’s coming from. The module is located, I think, under the dash on the drivers side. Like I said, just a guess ….

What does the warning chime sound like while driving?

I have a warning chime that has started to sound intermittently while I drive. It first started a few weeks ago, and it sounded like a sick bell. After awhile, it began sounding like a single “bong”. Now it’s “bong bong” when I drive, it’s intermittent, but it’s more often.

Why does my car make a beeping sound when I start it?

I started my truck and a long, fast beeping sound came out from under the dash. It stopped after about 10 seconds. I shut it off and it did the same sound. It’s not a seat belt chime or door chime, it’s much faster and more annoying.

Why does my car whine when I hit 20mph?

Once I hit 20mph or so there’s a very loud whine when accelerating but is quiet when you’re not touching the gas or if in neutral revving it there’s no noise as well. When I let off the gas the whine almost turns to a grind and goes away until I tap the gas again.

What kind of truck makes a grinding noise?

Okay, truck an 04, 1500 Z71 ext. cab and has 320k miles. Original front end. Today, almost all the way to work (20 miles) started to get a faint grinding from the front end. When I got to work, looked for obvious stuff stuck to the axle, but nothing. Going home, it was quiet at first, but after 20 miles, same noise.

Why does my Silverado Sierra have rumble strips?

Over the past moth or so I’ve noticed what feels like I’m driving over “rumble strips” while coming to a stop. It also does it at a slow-roll, say around 15-20 mph. It does NOT do it when I put it in neutral and stop.
