The install on the R18 is fairly simple, the drain plug you have to remove is on the front of the motor. I just installed a block heater on the K20 in my ’09 Si and it was awful… the bung for the heating element is on the back of the engine and really high, above the oil filter!

Installing either isn’t hard. The drain bolt on the V6 is tight, a 19mm socket and large ratchet is required to loosen it. The 4 cylinder’s block drain is INSIDE the threaded area for the block heater, it’s a 10mm allen, and it’s put in with RED loctite, so it’s a real PITA to get out.

I was looking for block heater location for my honda civic 2002 1.7l engine and for my honda crv 2003. I have located the position for my civic it seems to be on top right of the oil filter.
