How do I put my car into programing mode?
How to Program a Car Remote
- Sit in the car with all of the doors and the trunk completely closed.
- Turn the key to the “Off” position until the lights on the dashboard go off.
- Press the “Lock” button within five seconds of entering programming mode and hold the button for one second before releasing it.
Why does my Nissan not go into program mode?
Tripped / dead door pin is the usual cause of it not going into program mode. I bought this car about a week ago, had no remote.. Like the op, just trying to get into programming mode in the first instance. Ive not seen any security lights flash at all

Is there a keyless FOB on a Nissan?
The only thing I saw was a large designation for “Keyless”, but it’s just an empty slot, no wiring to it…..BUT before you think it has never worked, that is incorrect. If it never worked, I would think that is valuable info to know to fully diagnose the situation.
