EHCPs must be clear, concise, understandable, accessible, forward-looking and outcomes focused. It must positively describe what the child or young person can do and their achievements. SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time bound) outcomes should be detailed.
What is a draft Ehcp?
An Education, Health and Care Plan, also called an EHCP or EHC Plan, must include the views of the child, parents and professionals involved. Reviewing the reports early in the draft plan process gives you time to look over the recommendations. If you disagree with a professional, you can try to get a second opinion.
