Why does my Honda door lock but no alarm?

Yes… checked that all five doors were closed… opened and slammed down the front hood and still the same problem. The doors lock but there’s no confirmation, therefore not sure if the alarm is activated or not. Why not just take it to the dealer. It is still under warrenty isn’t it. Many problems can cause it.
