If you have a manual with a diagram, you can find the fuel pump relay and jump two of the wires together…then the pump runs when the key is on and will prime the system. Seems like its the bk/blu and blk wires.

The pump senses pulsing from the front ignition coil-so if one of the coil wires is off, it’ll never pump any fuel. Might be worth a look-see. Possible that the filter may be plugged from sucking the dirt out of the bottom of the tank.

Yes fuel pumps have been problematic but the 2012 and newer pumps have addressed many of the issues. Mainly the pressure relief valve and fuel filter. It is impossible to get an “old style” pump…the part numbers have been superceded to the new style. Might pick up a service manual too.

Can a solenoid be replaced on a mule 550?
I would say replace the solenoid, they are $30 or so on eBay and easy to install, but I had the same problem on my Mule 550 gas and a new solenoid did not fix the problem. I posted a similar question yesterday, but have not received any replies.
