When does a truck make a humming noise?
The noise has started to occur in drive at low speeds, but only during sharp LEFT turns. I can now replicate the noise nearly 100% of the time if the truck is on any degree of incline when making sharp left turns. I have noticed a humming sound from the front wheels at highway speeds (wheel bearings).
Why does my GM Truck make a grinding noise?
Original front end. Today, almost all the way to work (20 miles) started to get a faint grinding from the front end. When I got to work, looked for obvious stuff stuck to the axle, but nothing. Going home, it was quiet at first, but after 20 miles, same noise. The noise is almost like that of the 4wd being engaged on dry pavement.

Mine in the 2010 is different and there is a huge cv looking boot and u-joints on it that were clunking on me. I replaced and it went away. I would presume you got the “updated” version if you replaced your intermediate shaft so would not suspect it to be bad. It could be that something is shifting in the suspension and making the clunk.
