When to turn off the AC high side?
Are your fans (radiator/condenser) running? 250psi isn’t too high. The a/c pressure switch turns off the compressor if the pressure is below 28psi or higher than 460psi. yea both fan are running and compressor fan will run with ac compressor.
Why is the high side of my AC so hot?
Grabbing the high side at the compressor to after leaving the condensor there seems to be no difference its just way to hot to touch. I thought the line after the condensor should have gotten cooler when leaving the condenser. I actually had the same problems.

Why does my a / C blow cold on my passenger side?
Answer: Most common problem is a bad temperature door actuator if it does have dual zone A/C. This actuator controls the temperature door for that side. Dual zone systems have a temp door for each side. If the car does not have dual zone climate control, this sounds like a problem that some mechanics miss.
