Why are there so many beeps on my Honda CRV?
The quick beeps mean the auto lock feature didn’t enable. This happens to me 1 of 10 times. Rather annoying As you inferred, the multiple beeps indicate that the system cannot arm itself to perform the auto lock function.

Why do I hear beeps when I walk away from my Honda CRV?
Then when you walk 8 feet away you will hear the second beep and the lights will flash as it locks. If you step out of the 2.5 foot range before the first beep sounds it will not be able to do walk-away lock and you will hear the triple beep of doom .
