Why do I need to turn off PassLock on my Chevy?
People this is happening with many models of Chevy and even Hummers. It is that Passlock needs to be relearned. Key turned on then try to start but don’t let it, just crank it.
Is there a 9 second PassLock bypass on my truck?
9 second passlock bypass, no wires, no tools !! I´m having this damn passlock problem with my wife´s truck (09 2.9L auto), I just found this video on you tube and by the comments seems to work fine. Step Two: Locate the plug pictured below, The plug is under the dash near the steering column. Open your driver door and stick your head on the floor near the gas and brake pedal and look up, it will be the big white plug staring you in the face.
What does a PassLock do to an engine?
Not sure what his problem is, but it isn’t the PassLock that is preventing the engine from cranking. The only thing PassLock does is stop the ECM from opening the injectors. The engine will crank with a PassLock issue. Curious about what the real fix would be for his problem.

How do you turn off PassLock on a Chevy?
Key on, press volume till readout says SETTINGS then scroll to the Security to toggle off by pressing reset ( watch YOUTUBE). I personally see no sense of having no security system so try the RELEARN method. Other thing is that the Ignition Switch has a Sensor on it and the wire clip comes loose.

What happens if there is no PassLock on the engine?
No Passlock problem will prevent the engine from cranking. If, when cranking the engine, the security light is flashing, that indicates a PassLock problem. The engine may initially start and run until the BCM gets the message to the ECM to deactivate the injectors.
