Should you list a job you were fired from on your resume?

A short-term job that helped you pay some bills while you sought full-time work can likely be left off your resume. You should never omit relevant jobs (or any information) from a resume that will cause an employer to be misled in any way. Perhaps they were fired from a previous job, or left a job on bad terms.

Should I say I was terminated from a job?

As far as your resume is concerned, don’t talk about being fired; there is no reason for you to do so. Your resume need only contain the start and end dates for the jobs you’ve held, without going into details as to why you left them.

How do I know if I am wrongfully terminated?

For instance, if an employer has in its employee handbook that employees are entitled to one written warning about tardiness but an employee is terminated after reporting to work late just one time, he or she might have a valid claim for wrongful termination if the motivation for that termination is illegal.
