We’ve verified there isn’t too much slop in the lifter bores, and verified we’re getting good oil flow through the pump with a drill at ~500-800RPM. Oil makes it through all of the lifter bores, and comes out the top into the galley.
Why does my oil pump have no pressure?
If the top end sounds like a sewing machine than it can point to faulty lifters. If it sounds like some one is hitting the fire wall with a small hammer, then shut it off cause that can point to absolutely zero pressure and you may have a faulty pump.

Good Luck! i seen the same thing but was told thats only on 2007 and newer What happened is when you slid the oil pickup tube into the pump the O ring was either displaced, or got cut (both common). Take the front cover off again and drop it back down so you can inspect it.
