Why does my truck horn blow when I unlock the door?
I seen the other thread about the horn beeping and thought someone else had the same problem but it ended up being different. When I go to unlock my truck using the key fob …. if the truck has been sitting for a while I`ll hit the unlock button and the horn will blow 3 times.

Actually this happened to me a while back to. Have you tried opening your door without the key fob recently? Seems ever since i forgot my key fob and used my key to open my door and my alarm went off and i stuck the key into the igntion to turn it off and engine on it started doing the same thing as you just described.

Recently, the buttons started acting up. Push to open the trunk, the horn would honk; push the lock button, it would lock, and then immediately unlock; then the horn would just start honking when it was locked, and I would have to go out and open with the key and turn the key to on to get it to stop.
Is there an alarm when you unlock the door with a key?
I typically lock with the remote, but not until the horn chirps. I just use one press. Just to clarify, I get the alarm, not just a single chirp when unlocking with the key. However, maybe there is no issue if others do the same thing.

How to disable the door lock horn notification?
Pressing the lock button on the remote will lock all the doors. Pushing it twice locks the doors and activated the perimeter alarm. The perimeter alarm is from the factory and it is activated by pressing your lock button twice (makes the horn sound).
