Competition in the connections market means you have a choice when selecting who provides some elements of your connection process. These can either be provided by ourselves, Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) or Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs).
What is the difference between contestable and non-contestable works?
Contestable works are the elements of the connections work which can be undertaken by an ICP or IDNO rather than WPD. Non-contestable works are the elements of the connections work which must be completed by WPD or our appointed agents. Only for Contestable works installed by the ICP.
