you’re right, they probably should be. Sometimes there are reasons to have the headlights on during the day, and dimming the instrument panel is not good.

Is there a dash light on a 99 Blazer?
I have a 99 blazer, when i turn the headlights on i have no dash light of any kind not even in the climate control group. my radio lights go out as well as the digital temp gauge on the overhead console my digital lights for PRND321 work as well as for my milage they both go dim as they should but nothing else.
