Why does no a / C and button will not light up?

Since we need the burb for the weekend he just grounded it at the A/C relay so that the compressor will always stay on when the car is on and we’ll have A/C. Question…..will this hurt the compressor with it always running and not cycling? Not really, as long as its not planned to be premanent.

Why does my AC compressor not come on?

When the temperature is very cold the ac compressor will not come on. That is why you get the flashing light. The ac system KNOWS it is cold outside due to available pressure in the system. Cold weather, low pressure, the pressure switch does not close and the compressor does not come on and you get the flashing light.

I ran into this problem in the spring when the temps would drop below 40 degrees during the night, then shoot back up to the 70’s during daytime.
