Why is my GMC Envoy keyless remote not working?
Our youngest son lives east of Albuquerque and we end up driving on dirt roads quite a bit when visiting. The motor pulls the latch release okay but the dust/dirt seems to gum up the ability of the motor to unwind and let the latch go back to the catch position so that the door latches when closed after being open.

Thanks for your help. It is a 2006 Envoy XL Denali 4×4 5.3L V8. Likely a rod or two that actuates the lock inside the door has came loose / broke it’s clips. Need to pull the door panel to confirm. One door lock key slot because that’s all that’s needed…until it breaks.

Not open for further replies. Bought it used and it came with a ‘generic’ remote fob. The fob functions just fine but the plastic ring that attaches it to my keyring broke so I bought a replacement GM fob from Ebay.
